From the Founders
​We’re two food industry veterans with over 20 years experience between us. We both believe that the care you put into making food – the quality of ingredients, tools, and preparation – is directly felt by the people enjoying it. We also happen to drink a lot of coffee!
Put the two together and we noticed that most cafes, even some of the best, only manage to nail ingredients and preparation, failing to preserve the quality of their tools. The same way a chef’s knife needs to be maintained to be effective, so does coffee equipment.
That’s why we started Cat & Coffee Service. We want to help cafes convey more completely their care to customers through well maintained tools. We care about coffee, and we care about you.

Taking care of people has become the guiding star in everything I do these days. That's been the through-line of all my experience up until now.
I started in coffee picking up extra barista shifts and a cafe I was hosting open mic nights for. Then I moved on to managing the cafe at the Detroit Institute of Arts for awhile before eventually overseeing wholesale, repair service, and roasting for another company in Detroit.
The take away from all of those years was that everything we do has to be for the customer. And at the end of the day, they're a person just like me. So, treat them that way.
